Persistence. Perseverance. Determination.

“Winning is not normal and those who constantly win follow an ‘abnormal’ path. The discipline, dedication and sacrifices are incomprehensible to those thousands standing outside, looking in, who are capable of joining the winning team, yet unwilling to pay the price of admission. Winners win in a fair effort, on a level playing field; because they deserve to win…they willingly pay their dues in full, time after time, after time.” —Anonymous

  2. Congratulations, Kirk! Your dad and I know, more than anyone, how very long and incredibly hard you’ve worked to achieve this portion of your goal. And we know the dedication and determination it took for you to get there, let alone the hundreds upon hundreds of hours of blood, sweat and tears it took also. Well, sweat and tears, anyway. 🙂 We are more proud of you than you could possibly know, though I must say, knowing you as we do, we had no doubt that you’d get here. And we have no doubt that you’ll achieve goal #2 as well. And hey, when it feels like the muscles won’t go one more inch or lift one more pound, just remember how good it feels every time you look in the mirror now. Good job – keep it up!

P.S. Kudos too, to your amazing and adorable wife for all the support she’s given to you these last months and years. Not to mention the dozens upon dozens of egg whites she’s cooked for you!

    • Actually there was also some blood. The day the treadmill at the Portland Hotel tried to eat me. It failed but I had a hell of sprained ankle. But it didn’t stop me. I was at the gym the next day. Didn’t miss a beat.

      Anyhow thank you.
